I'm still trying to think what that flippin' heck the teachers were thinking about.................

Surely, surely, they have read in the papers about the idiotic stuff that has gone on in other schools and the worry that caused?

And why or how can they think that children don't worry about these things, let alone the parents.

Send as many e-mails to as many people as you can Poll, including the local papers.

Maybe, just maybe this stupidity will stop and never happen again.

What educational function did this exercise serve? Who came up with it, and why? And why would the school laugh at parental concerns over such an event.

I would be asking questions and demanding answers from the school governors and the LEA; and reporting things to the local media.

Primary school pupils need protecting from these idiots.

I know, I just cannot get my head around this at all.

Yep WM that member of staff, I am presuming office staff actually laughed at the mum who phoned up, as I said in my email this is very unprofessional, too many things have happened in schools and security and safety is so important, I just dont get it!

Will see what response I get tomorrow from head teacher, if any, if not I shall re-send my email and copy it to Director of Education at the local authority.

I think the scariest thing either of my two have come up across was a trip to the London Dungeons - and that was at secondary school, not juniors!!

When you think of junior schools you think of a nice and safe, caring environment - not a place they're scared to attend! :x

I've tried really hard but am struggling to think of any single activity that requires a classroom to be turned into a mock crime scene which would result in scaring the kids???? And if there is a legitimate reason for this then at the very least the school should have sent a note to all parents letting them know what was happening and why so they could explain it to the children

Totally and utterly stupid and irresponsible

Well, if you don't get a satisfactory reply from the Head it is a good idea to notify the Director of Education - maybe a copy to the Chair of Governors as well.

Well as of yet, I have had no proper response, I will give it until tomorrow. The Head did email me about 9pm last night saying she would look into this and get back to me....

Amy said today the teacher of said classroom told the children it was her who done it and its so they can write a news article about a crime scene - WHY?????

Struggling to understand the logic.

I shall keep you all informed of what the head replies with!
