what planet are these people on..

Postby pollR78 » 30 Sep 2013, 16:20

honestly I am amazed, disgusted and quite angry.

Amy comes out of school and 2 of her friends come up to their parents who I was standing with, shouting oh our class was broken into at lunch time by real 'burglars' , the desks were upturned, books thrown everywhere etc, so the kids are all worrying and Amy is upset saying she doesnt want to go to school tomorrow.

Mum from the class it happened phones the school and they laugh at her and tell her it was fake??????????

WHY would you do that? I remember Dunblane VERY well, and i trust that school to protect my child and look after her and they do that, I am very angry.

Have sent an email to the school headteacher, making her very aware of my feelings and also how unprofessional it is to laugh at a parent who phones up concerned.

idiots!

I don't think some of these teachers live in a real world Poll.

Hope Amy feels better soon, give her a sunshiney hug from Portugal (well, if we had some   )

I'd also email the Local Education Authority Poll, oh and maybe the local paper? This is unbelievably irresponsible :x

No it is a terrible thing to do, and potentially damaging to the more sensitive of the children :? :?

I have trouble getting my head around this TBH, Primary teachers in particular are supposed to be in loco parentis.....and what parent in their right mind would pull a stunt like this? :(

exactly Kaz, i said in my email to the head teacher that I trust then to protect my child when she is in school and i find this just sick!

bloody morons, they told one mum its for an activity tomorrow, woopee doo, lots of kids wont want to go to school tomorrow and will be traumatised - Amy for one is very sensitive and gets scared easily, doesnt help that she has breakfast club and after school club tomorrow so i wont be there to see her in.

thank you Ally xx

I am very angry indeed, a few parents are emailing me and thankfully I had the email addy for the head teacher so have given it out! Hopefully she will have lots of emails tomorrow!

I just don't see the need, the children aren't going to gain anything from such an exercise apart from being more nervous, scared and anxious, things like this are not in the curriculum for excellence!

So stupid and uncalled for!!
