What a lovely morning it is.

I see in today's paper that this year, by mid-October, we should have the best show of Autumn colours for many years.
Some of the trees here are already looking lovely. We have, therefore, booked up a week's holiday for the middle of next
month, in a cottage near Bridgnorth. There is a lovely arboretum at near-by Areley, so I should get plenty of practice in
using my new camera. I love trees.

Thanks for the good wishes, folks! Ally, we are leaving from Rome tomorrow, visiting Messina in Sicily, Athens in Greece, Kusadasi in Turkey, and Crete - mind you the itinerary has changed the last two weeks due we think to strikes in Greece, so who knows where we might end up
