22 miles is atrocious Saundra :? I think I would have died if I'd had to travel 22 miles the day I had my worst miscarriage :? :( It was a flashing light job and only took a very few minutes to go about 4 miles.....

kaz when we moved here i made sure there was a local hospital
its 5 mins away
since weve been here 7 years they have clossed maternity unit heart unit and nearly
everything is now at scarborough
bill had to travel that far and had a massive heart attack as he got there
he didnt stand a chance or they go to hull 30 mile or york
the joy of living at the seaside has its drawbacks believe me

Thanks Cal x
It's 20 miles to Southampton hospital from here, a 40-mile round trip is pretty tiring, especially when it was every day for 5 weeks' worth of radiotherapy. Then again, you go there and do see the same team etc each time, and I've usually only had to go once or twice a year.
The hospital here is new, and lovely, and at least they could do the blood tests and liver scan. Trouble is the machines they use (eg for the bone scan) cost such massive amounts, they need to be used full-time :?
