Cross with Asda ...

Postby TheOstrich » 27 Sep 2013, 12:31

Went to the Pharmacy this morning to buy a packet of Day Nurse. But they questioned me exceedingly closely and then refused to sell them to me because of the blood pressure medication.

I know they're only doing their job, but ...

I get a barrage of questions every time I buy my little tube of Eumovate cream for the tiny patches of occasional eczema I get......

"Is this for you or someone else? Oh you DO know you mustn't use it on your face? (Um does my face LOOK like it has eczema??) Have you used this before? Why didn't you get it on prescription....??" It is a mild steroid cream, not arsenic! Plus it is cheaper to buy over the counter than to pay for a 'script  :x

I know that they are cheaper than an independent chemists, but I gave up using Boots and Asda because of all the hassle. I now use the chemist attached to the doctor's surgery. The people in there know what dugs I take, and why, and they do not treat me like a simpleton or an infant.

I once went to Boots to buy day nurse and night nurse but they wouldn't sell me both!! I had to chose one but sent husband in later for the other. Some people were buying it because they were addicted to it so they wouldn't give give their customers two bottles. That rule doesn't seem to apply now.

It's like the rule with how many paracetemol they will sell at one time.....I mean if you were that determined to take an overdose you would just walk to the next shop and buy more, wouldn't you? :?
