Thanks all :)
I know the time will soon go, and I know all these appointments will soon be over. But right now it's a bit hard...I'm fine really and will be my normal self any minute ;)

((((((D)))))) I do know how you feel xxx

E and I seem to have spent way too much time backwards and forwards to hospital for months now and like you there are more appointments in the pipeline. I just keep reminding myself things are improving, but it is very frustrating at times, it's all the waiting between visits I find the hardest.

Thanks Jen. It's a lot to come all at once and without warning, and when it happens to you both at the same time it gets difficult doesn't it :?

Join the club--my OH can`t drive now as the last stroke affected his side vision
so it is all down to me to get him to his hospital appointments.
I cannot do London anymore so Kings College Hospital is down to our
son who is so good to us.
I am driving again now after my cataract op but son came up again to take me
for the op.
Daughter only lives a few miles away but she doesn't drive (sensible girl) :D :D
I am nearly 80 and I cannot drive forever so how we will get to hospital
appointments or doctor goodness knows
I expect I will worry about it when the time comes :(

I know it's hard Lissie you do brilliantly :) Hopefully there are enough voluntary services for you as and when you need them, there are quite a lot about .
We're used to looking after each other, it's just hard when it's at the same time. I don't have any children and Bb's are too young, there's just us :)

I think Di is right Lissie. With Mick's uncle being so ill, Mick's mum has been driving his Aunt Jen to and from the hospital as J doesn't drive. J has asked about help with transport once Ron is home, for going backwards and forwards for his ongoing treatment as he will no longer be able to drive, and it is all being arranged 8-)

For ourselves, I don't drive, my eldest doesn't drive (he lives on the outskirts of London so reckons he doesn't really need to) and neither does Becky yet, so there is just Mick........Once his mum can no longer drive, that is. She does a huge amount of voluntary work though, so I wouldn't want to ask her regularly......I am sure we'd manage though, if and when we have to.

Pleased to hear things are improving. Hang in there.

You could always write out the c/cards I the waiting room.

Lots of vibes for Di and Buster for continuing good progress. Hope you can continue to drive, Lissie I could not bear to be without wheels and have no intention of stopping even though nine looms next year. I came back from North Wales yesterday with only one chosen stop, many traffic hold ups though. I see there are still 191 drivers in the country over one hundred so take heart. :D
