Evening everyone! It's been quite dull and showery here but a lot milder.

It's been a happy day in our house today - it's Billy's 1st birthday!! He's had a card and presents and a lovely long walk over the Chase :D I hate to think what would've happened to him and the other puppies had his pregnant Mom not been rescued by Dogs Trust.

Just waiting for dinner. Tom's doing us a Chinese meal but there's only enough for four and a friend of Joe's turned up a few hours ago and isn't yet making any moves to go. He came after school last night too and dinner had to stretch but it didn't really matter as John and I were planning on filling our faces at the German market anyway.

We've just got home from a lovely meal out here It's named The Whittle Inn after Sir Frank Whittle who invented the jet engine - the first flight of a jet in 1941 took place from the airfield there at Brockworth 8-) We've have a great evening but Harry was falling asleep in his ice cream sundae LOL I had a very nice steak and salad and then had a cuppa instead of pud

Not used to eating late, it will take me a while to digest so I can sleep :o

'Night everyone :) :)

Glad you had a good time Kaz, despite the late hour :)

Frank Whittle - my dad worked a lot of years at the RAE, Farnborough, then later I worked in an office with a view of the airfield. The jet engine was tested there, and there are lots of references to him in the area
