I know Di, it's so difficult to choose!

Fraggle is my favourite so far, followed by Mittens but she is maybe a little too old

I know it would be twice the chaos, but it's too quiet here now, bit of chaos might be welcome

Oh gosh yes, I would know for sure after handling a dog, as my allergy kicks in pretty quick. That's how we knew for sure I'd be ok with Pepper.......I sat with her on my knee the whole time we were there

I am shocking with Labs and Collies in particular, I just stream like mad and then start to wheeze. If it's ok I'll know very quickly

I am usually ok with terriers, and Shi Tzus are on the low allergy list.........

Ria that's hilarious - part Shi Tzu, part Wookie :-P

That rescue is run by a friend of a friend (remember Fruitgum? The lady who runs that rescue is an old work colleague of hers) and she's going to make some discreet enquires about Fraggle for me

For gods sake don't get a yappy one!!

The people just down the lane from us got a dog from a rescue centre about two months ago and it is driving me insane!! It is a lovely dog - no idea what it is a terrier of some sort with quite a lot of Yorkshire Terrier in him but god does he yap.

Every time someone goes past their gate he starts - yap, yap, yap, yap, yap. And as we have lots of walkers go past us he yaps a lot. And it goes on and on.

They are now blowing a whistle when he yaps to distract him.

Yap yap, whistle whistle, yap yap, whistle whistle, yap yap yap yap yap.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
