Afternoon all, I have a headache Went to bed too late so that's my own fault, but then woke at 7am and didn't get back to sleep. I have soup simmering away in the slow cooker, have ironing and other stuff to do, and going dancing this evening. I received a pair of Scholl sandals I had ordered from Amazon and they are the wrong size so now I have to go through the rigmarole of sending them back grrrrrrr. That was my first ever time ordering something like that online, it may well be my last. Just going out now to do a bit of shopping locally, back for my lunch and then getting on with the other stuff. Have a good day everyone

Afternoon all! It's dull and cold but dry here at the moment, it was very wet first thing though.
After the gym, I did some shopping and then waited for the rain to stop so Billy could get his walk - he doesn't like going out in rain

The boys are just home from school and Joe's brought a friend with him, also called Joe.

Tonight, after dropping Joe 2 off at home, we're doing the big shop. We usually go on Thursday nights but John was supposed to be out with work as the secretary has now worked there for 20 years but he emailed me earlier to say that it's cancelled as her mother died earlier this afternoon It's very sad. X, the secretary, is Portuguese so I imagine she's making plans to get 'home' as soon as she can.

It must be really difficult for her being so far from family. Her Mom came over here a few years back. She only came over to see X's son when he was born and ended up staying for three years, taking care of him for X while she and her husband were at work. Unfortunately she had a serious stroke while she was here and once stable was flown back to Portugal but has been poorly ever since
