What a day!!
I had one like that the other day, except it was various things at the school that I complained about - I emailed the office to ask them to supply me with the email addresses of three people who'd screwed up on three separate matters.

I can't say I'm surprised about Orange, my dealings with them with a PAYG phone had me regretting my purchase after just three days.

It is now 1.25pm.

The chimney sweep has not arrived. I have rung him twice and both times it goes straight to answerphone.

I rang his home number and his mad wife (or mother - not sure which) answered and said well, its not too bad. He's not that late really is he.

I will try his answerphone again and then make some lunch to see if my just about to sit down to eat prompts him to arrive.

Well, that seemed to work.

I was just looking at what to have for lunch and he rang to say he is about 10 minutes away and will ring me once he has found somewhere to park so I can go and fetch him.

God knows what he drives if he can't get it up our lane. I wonder if it is a low loader!

Re: Orange.

Phone Trading Standards and tell them the story and make plain that Orange (EE parent co) have taken a payment for the service and not delivered only stalled - try to get a reference number. Phone Ofcom and do the same. Phone Orange and tell them what you have done and that if you do not have the code within seven working days you will send a complaint to Olaf Swantee (CEO of EE), via registered letter, inviting him to explain his company's theft to the Small Claims Court.

They did refund the £20 Saundra but I still want the code.

I have a perfectly good phone, owned by my sister which can't be used til they send an unlock code which legally they have to give if you request it.

I still haven't heard anything from them!!!

I forgot to tell you - the unlock code arrived a couple of days after my phone call and S is happily using her new (to her) phone.

Just need to get British Gas to turn up when they are supposed to now!!!
