Morning all. Its really damp and chilly here this morning - it must have rained heavily last night though I didn't hear it.

No work for me today but still a day full of meetings. Adoption panel until 2.30pm and then off to school for a governors meeting. I hope adoption panel doesn't over run as I'm cutting it quite fine!!

Girls are off to my mums for tea. It seems weird that they are now both able to get there from school under their own steam. S will walk straight them from the upper site and mum is due to meet L on the park as she walks from lower site. She'll do that a couple of times until L feels confident enough to either make the walk on her own or catch the bus.

I will be chasing up the chimney sweep. He is due to come tomorrow (we need to get the chimney swept so Mick can get the multi stove in) but my neighbour said that he is really unreliable and suggested that I ring this evening to remind him!!!

I am hoping the comes early as I have a mega cleaning day planned for tomorrow. I never really seem to clean properly over the school holidays and tomorrow is my first day at home when I can get it done (last Friday was a full on baking day ready for the show).

Good luck to Mr Loz.

Morning everyone :)

It's drab and dull here too Saundra, I'm missing the sunshine already and it's only September :? My sister sending me photo 'postcards' from her hotel in Lanzarote from her ipad isn't helping either  :-P

Ally I'm not surprised you need new trainers again :D  Have a lovely afternoon at work, not sure if I fancy that Peaky Blinders or not, might give it a go just to see 8-) :)

Loz I hope you have a wonderful time, you've picked a stunning destination whatever the weather :) See you soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good luck chasing your Sweep Debih, but don't get Sooty............... :-P ;)

I switched my summer clothes over for my winter ones yesterday, so the summer ones are in vac bags now in our suitcases - that means a heap more ironing today   I also cleaned the windows, and today it's the bathrooms' turn for a good 'bottoming', Becky's in particular needs a sort out...........We also need a food shop, so Sainsbury's is on the agenda at some point.......

I heard from Becks yesterday, so far she is LOVING Bristol and making plenty of new friends, and has thoroughly explored Cabot Circus, the huge shopping centre just over the way from her Halls   I feel much happier about it all now too, although the house is very quiet without her and Pepper keeps looking for her :?

Have a good day everyone, hugs for those feeling poorly, those nursing the poorlies, and good luck to Lissie's OH ((((((((x)))))))

Morning all :)
Dull and drizzly here.
Have a lovely time Loz - that place looked so beautiful hopefully the weather won't matter :)
Ally good luck for your second day :)

I drove eldest and g/f back a bit after 7.30, as planned, so the patient didn't overdo it. Good job too as I was completely shattered by 10 :D
Today I have a few errands to run, so will work that out between nursing and other duties.
Bb's doing ok; it's quite hard work, the business of keeping your head in the right position. He feels ok for a while, then really quite ropey, so hope that improves over the next day or so.
Thank goodness for technology though, he can play games on the galaxy some of the time, and can read on my kindle (because you can enlarge the font).
Have a good day all

Morning everyone

Lovely sunny morning 8-)

Why is it that the blasted darking bogs are quiet in the mornings, when I'm awake, yet are going bonkers at night, in tune with Grumpy, when I'm trying to sleep????????????

Ironing for me this morning, with my new (ish) iron  now I know what I'm doing

Kaz, my daughter is in Lanzarote too :D

Good luck to Mr Lissie, hope all goes well today and to all th other poorlies, hope they're feeling better soon too xx

Have a great hols Loz xx

Enjoy your day whatever you're doing xx

Di, forgot to send continuing good wishes to Buster. Hope things become more comfortable for him as the days go by.
Speaking of the Kindle... Mr L has one, but I have never fancied it until now. I have downloaded a couple of books from back in the day (Victoria Holt). I wouldn't want them on my book shelves any more, but buying them cheaply for the Kindle has been ideal for our break.

I'm so glad I have one, Bb isn't allowed to do anything at all, but can't manage to read real books - and holding them would be awkward too.
He's really enjoying The Twitchiker, and I'm going to look for a few thrillers of the kind he likes :)
