I don't know how you manage. I have to book things so far ahead with rehearsals, concerts, appointments that my filofax is absolutely essential. I wouldn't be able to cope without it.

I do have a Filofax and used to use it a lot when I was still seeing clients, but since that has dwindled off I haven't bothered buying the new inserts........... :?

I can remember things like dentist and doctor appointments, so don't worry about not having them written down..........

I have transferred the rest of this year to my phone and am going to see how I get on.

It will be nice if I manage it as I always have my phone with me whereas I only have my diary if I have my bag as it lives in there.

I have a desk diary every year and used to write everything in it. However I decided to start using my phone at the end of last year and now my diary is empty and everything is on my phone. I find it much easier and as you say 'it is always with me'

I kept diaries though most of my teenage years, but unfortunately they got lost somewhere along the way.

I don't have one now, but we have a large calender in our kitchen on which we note all forthcoming birthdays and other events, appointments, etc.

Online only here.
we use gmail and the calendar facility there extensively. Hubby and I have a our own profiles, and we can see each others calendars so know where each are. Ive recently set up one each for the kids.

I had a similar diary to yours Deb and absolutely loved it. it had everything in there, and I used it heaps. After I set up the calendar online though I started using that more and more and the diary less and less. Then one day I realised I had been buying them every year, and had not touched it in 3 years. so that was the end of that.

At first I accessed it just at work and home, but that seemed to be enough for me, but now that I have a smartphone, i access it there most often.

We have a joint diary for everything. It works - so I won't change the system! However it does mean one of us checking the diary regularly - that has only failed once (M) in many years.
