Morning everyone
Im still sick. So far I've spent 3 days in bed and 3 days not feeling so crash hot. I'm just so tired, so I've retreated to bed early tenth, but not tired enough to go to sleep.

Hugs for ally, deb, Di and Bb today.
Hope you all have a good day today.

Morning :)
Quite bright here, cloud forecast for the day but not rain so I'm happy.

Weka rest will do you good, do hope you feel better soon.
Bb's still in bed, I'll take him up some coffee if he wants it in half an hour or so. His verdict last night was 'Day one - tough'. He was feeling quite ropey, hopefully that will wear off a bit today, but it's tiring and a bit painful keeping your head on the side all the time!

Lots to do. My appointment at the hospital is at 12, an annoying time but can't be helped. Bb was going to come with me but of course can't. Need to work out Bb's drops to fit them in while I'm here, he'd assumed he'd be able to do them himself but it's tricky without 3 hands, and I don't think he should be going up and down the stairs to the bathroom so he wouldn't be able to see what he's doing properly.
Then have to get things organised/cleaned/tidied, sort dinner out, go and collect eldest and g/f by 5. Bb's not up to much so I'm planning on doing dinner early and taking then back again by about half seven. And then probably having a large drink!
Hope everyone has a good day
Di

Morning all :D

We're up early as we've a busy day ahead. Currently running around sorting clothes to take, need enough underwear etc to get us through til Sunday  It's my pre op assessment at 12, could have been better planned but at least it will be out of the way. We're heading off to the Hemel Hempstead hotel straight from the hospital. It's only a Holiday Inn Express but it's set on a canal so lovely views and some nice local pubs/restaurants on the doorstep. Even more important, 4 days B&B there plus all our activities/train fares works out cheaper than a room only hotel in central London. Once we get settled in we'll be looking for somewhere nice to have dinner.

Tomorrow we're off into London for the day so another early start. We've booked a day tour of Buckingham Palace - Gallery, State Rooms and the Royal Mews. Will probably have scones and coffee on the terrace overlooking the gardens sometime during the day. Afterwards we've tickets to see Wicked :D

Friday it's the Warner Bros Harry Potter tour - it's just 10mins up the road from our hotel, really looking forward to that. Saturday we'll be with my brother in Docklands celebrating his son's 1st birthday. We decided to stay over at the hotel til Sunday morning as it saves taking the car across London, also means we get a leisurely brekkie before setting off home.

There's free wifi at the hotel, I'll be taking my tablet so will try to stay in touch.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning everyone :) Overcast, gloomy and wet here  Still I'm in all day anyway as the house is screaming out for attention (all my energies have gone on Becks this last few days) there is ironing and cleaning etc to do, and my hair roots need doing too as I'm not a natural blonde :-P

Di wishing you loads of luck with the follow up appointment, will be thinking of you and cyberly holding your hand (((((((x))))))) I hope Bry's Day 2 is easier than yesterday, and also that dinner with the new g/f goes well :)

Ally I hope your friend's uni trip goes as well as ours did yesterday xxxx :)

Hugs for you (((Weka))) Hope you feel better soon, the rest is a good idea xxxx

Morning Saundra :)

Jen that all sounds smashing :D Have a great time, and good luck with your pre op xxxxxxx

Morning all, still feeling rather unwell with quite a lot of pain and discomfort :( Thankfully I am sleeping though, which does help. Ultrasound appointment for 10am tomorrow, although the doc doesn't think it's gallstones. Could really do without this 2½ weeks before our holiday  It's dull and damp today but hasn't rained since we got up. Car is being serviced, first time trying a local guy who phoned to say the key fob wouldn't work - I had given him the spare, but the battery must be gone in it. The great convenience of him just being down the road, he popped into another car and came up to collect my other key  AND was able to tell me that he had had to go up to Miss Osc's house this morning as Michael had left her car lights on and the battery had drained

Jen, we've done the Buckingham Palace tour and absolutely loved it - it's gorgeous but not huge, and the garden is just a sort of normal garden although it is that little bit bigger ;) What op are you having, did I miss something? Hope you have a lovely break, a friend of mine did the Harry Potter tour recently with her granddaughter and enjoyed it very much. Di, hope all goes well for you today at the hospital, isn't it awful when life throws everything at you all at once. Good luck with the new g/f! Have a good day everyone.

ETA - I am also completely shocked at Kaz's revelation :o :o
