How bizarre!!

Postby tonicha » 10 Sep 2013, 15:00

Very odd.............

Ring of the doorbell, out I go, lady just getting out of a car, young lady by gate.

How much is your house for sale? Told her, older lady said it was too much, so I said, sorry, that's the price. I will go down to 190,000 euros, but no more than that.

I asked if they'd like to have a look around. No need, said the younger lady, this lady used to live here and wants to buy it. :o

But not at that price. You must come down.

So sorry, I said, come back when you have the money.

Bizarre or what

Bingo is illegeal ,it's classed as gambling ! well here it is anyway and i think in the Mainland as well

the only gambling allowed is in the Casino-which just happens to be owned by one of the richest families on the island, who just happen to own about 27 hotels/resorts around the world

gotta protect your interests after all !

Laffed   :kick:

But I had to go down to the village later this afternoon and the estate agent was having a fag outside, as you do  and he said that the young Portuguese couple - those are the 12 year old lookalikes  - are waiting to hear about a mortgage.

Apparently, she is preggers and they are looking for a 4 bed house, as both sets of parents will also move in

Now, our hosue is a 3 bed, hence them liking our neighbours house - BUT they prefer our house, as the land is larger.

As Grumpy said (and Dirk too) we can make a 4th bedroom no probs, but we can't grow the patios.

Also, the original man is so desperate to buy ours (yeah right) that as soon as he sells his apartment, he wants to put a promisery thingy on ours, as he only needs 50,000 euros.

So things aren't looking as bleak as I sometime s feel.

And yes, Vic is right, gambling is illegal here - aart from the proper casinos.

So much so, a bar was raided, somewhere in the west algarve and they all got arrested and fined

Perfectly normal over here, all the family together.

Saves on baby-sitting I suppose - but who does the cooking
