We have added a thin blanket on top of the duvet cover, but no duvet as yet.
The mornings and evenings are a bit chilly but not indoors, there won't be any heating on here for quite a while. The year before last we hung on till very nearly November, last year it did get very cold much earlier in October though.

you don't even have a duvet on the bed yet :o :o :o

I have a duvet all year round; admittedly a thinner summer one at the moment, but come October / November I put the winter one on. That combined with the company of the cats makes winter quite snug and warm :D (and when it's really cold I have my trusty hot water bottles ;) )

It is a bit brrrr! isn't it?!
We never change duvets, it just gets kicked off if it gets too hot.

We're like you Ria - duvets all year round, and I shan't be long in changing the summer one over as I was chilly last night even with jammies on

I might manage with the summer duvet and a fleece blanket for a week or two, but I keep looking at the winter duvet in its cocoon and am sorely tempted to give it its freedom on some evenings. :D

We must be mustn't we :D
It's usually me that's hotter, he wiggles my way for a cuddle if he's cold :D
And we both sleep naked almost all the time too :D Any clothing is only for when it's sub-zero, he might wear a t-shirt, I have a t-shirt-type nightie thing.
I put socks on sometimes, cold feet don't let you get to sleep, but then take them off in the night :)
Our duvet is only 10.5 tog too, but far too warm for summer :D

Thats it - summer is officially over.

For the first time since May I went out of the house in shoes instead of my Birkenstocks.

Its all down hill from now on.

Debih, I've got a pair of these birks for the winter: (sorry link is a bit long)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Birkenstock-Uni ... ock+cloggs

they are meant to be for the house only but I often head out in them if I'm only visiting my brother. They are so very very comfy :)

Di; no wonder you're hot in the summer with a 10.5 tog duvet; that's what my winter one is (admittedly feather so maybe just that extra bit warm). My summer duvet is a 4.5 tog and you're meant to button the two together in the winter to make it a 15 tog but that's too much even for me

Oooo - I like those Ria.

I tend to go for the Ugg style slippers for winter. I have looked in town and they don't have any in yet (admittedly we only have Sainsburys, Peacocks and M&C for me to look in...........)
