Morning all. Not a bad start to the day here - quite misty but the sun is poking through.

I have had a rubbish nights sleep - worrying about my mum and dad. Still no word from my sister - hopefully we will hear something today. I don't know how long they are likely to keep them. Bloody idiot she is - I told her years ago that if she let him keep on doing it she would end up in trouble. I just hope that she gets away with being an accessory and it doesn't affect her job. I really can't see her being involved, other than letting him carry on doing it.

Work for me until around 1pm - busy day getting ready for lots of meetings next week.

Then I have to go into school (again) to talk to the mid day supervisors to try and explain how the local authority new pay scales are going to affect them. Things like this get me really cross - the local authority change to this new single status pay thing (which is a good idea - people being paid the same for doing the same job) but it is down to the UNPAID AND VOLUNTARY governors to tell the staff what is happening (which for the teaching assistants means the same or possibly less money for more hours) and to then decide which grade their job descriptions fit into to determine what pay they get. I don't mind doing it but I do feel it is a huge responsibility for people who haven't been trained to do it! Fortunately one of the governors doing it with me works for the local authority and has had to do it for all his departments staff so at least we have one person who understands how it works!

Craft group this evening. One of my friends that will be there is a magistrate so I might ask her what she thinks is likely to happen to my sister and her stupid other half.

Morning :)
Welcome back Ally, and good luck for your new job :)
Blimey Debih, you could do with another pamper day already, what a worry for you. As for the school governor job, all I can say is thank goodness there are people like you who are willing to take it on.

Lovely and sunny here :)
The patient went to bed around 10.30 and slept quite well considering; he got up about 6.30 and took the paracetamol but I think went back to sleep. Today I shall have to re-organise things a bit. He will have to be on 'my' end of the sofa, because he has to keep his head tilted over to the right...
And now eldest and his girlfriend (the one we haven't yet met) are coming for dinner tomorrow, which means I'll have to collect them and drive them back. Could do without it but can't put it off as he goes to uni on Saturday.
Have a good day all
Di

Morning all :D

Glad Buster's home safe and sound Di xxx

Oh my goodness debih, I've only just seen your post on the other board, what a worry for you all, hope you hear some news today.

I'm up and about early, for me that is lol, expecting a client at 9.30 but as she has a habit of arriving early thought I'd better give myself plenty of time to dress and make up. Afterwards we're popping over to visit mother, we're away tomorrow for the rest of the week so it's today or not at all. Really must sort her winter wardrobe so I can do the swap in the next week or so. Although it looks quite bright out there today, there's definitely an autumnal nip in the air

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all - just a flying visit as we're busy getting Becks off to uni, but I wanted to see how Bb is this morning. Thanks for the update Di, and sending my love. The ten minute thing does sound awkward and worrying but I know you and Bb will cope...................(((((((((((((((Di and Bb)))))))))))))))))))

Nice to see you back Ally, good luck with the new job today :)

Debih I hope you find out what is going on today re your sister, and good luck with the governor stuff. I wouldn't do it for the proverbial gold clock, as my BIL used to be a governor of a huge comprehensive and I saw the stress it caused......... :? As Di said though, thank goodness there are people like you willing to take it on! 8-) :)

Wish us luck for today? Becks was restless last night, she was still downstairs long after midnight - nerves I think :? I'm sure she'll be ok once she gets there though......

Morning Saundra, thanks for the hug, Morning Jen xxxxx

Have a good day everyone xxxx

Good luck for B and a hug for you Kaz. (((((Kaz)))))

Jackie's two daughters go to uni this week...Charlotte tomorrow and Amy on Saturday.

It will then be Jackie and a stream of nurses and carers looking after Mart as he has MS and is very ill. :(

Kaz I'm so sorry in my rush I forgot to wish you well for today (((((Kaz)))))xx
Ally your friend really will miss her daughters, they must provide a lot of light relief for both her and (their father?) as well as helping with the care.
Just sat down with a coffee - hard work this nursing business isn't it :)
Thanks for all the hugs and wishes
Edited to add - a huge thank you from Bb :)
