Afternoon all. Sending lots of love to Shell today xxx

Sunny but cool here. Decided to check our online banking this morning, a job out of the way, so I got all of the receipts etc that I needed and accessed Barclays online banking when a pop up appeared asking me if I wanted to download their banking app for iPads. Thought I'd give it a try, went through the palaver of registering and got to one of the final stages which involved entering a number supplied by them into the Pinsentry machine. Error. Tried again, checking the number carefully. Error. Third time, got Tom to check the number. Error. Pin locked, contact your bank. That involved a 44 minutes long call, part way through I demanded that she with the dreadful accent in India put me through to someone in the UK. The result? Oh, you need to go to your local ATM and follow the instructions on the screen to unlock the pin

You'd think that the day could only get better after that start.
The broomstick is due to land at 4.30 now so no, it can't get better - only worse.

Good plan Loz :) I have a lovely one waiting to be bags :D

My slow cooker is out and doing duty today - not quite as full as yours the other day Kaz, but pretty good :D
Morrisons had bargain packs of beef mince so it's a lovely big batch of what today will be in a lasagne, and the rest will be frozen for that, Bolognese, or chilli with a few additions ;)
Lots of lovely veg in it too, Bb and I had a mini-production line going :D

Cricket's on, then the grand prix - I might pop into town while they're going round and round and round.
Have fun Ally and Jen - Ton we'll still have a few barbies, weather permitting. Maybe even bbq'd steaks for C*mas dinner this year :D

Ps Oh no Jo, what a nightmare
And the bank playing up too
((((Jo))))x

Oh Di that does sound goooood! :D :D I've had the food processor out to make the topping for my crumble - so much easier than doing it by hand ;) :D Becks is home and we're eating about 4ish I think, in between lunch and dinner times so we'll just eat the once ;) That means I can have a bigger portion of crumble :-P  :?

Oh Jo NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO what a flipping 'mare with the bank!!! I never have any probs with my Nat West account online or in branch, but the joint Barclays account has played up once or twice  Good luck with the Welsh Dragon later ;) xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh yes we used the mini-chopper - well, Bb did.
He's used it before, so I tried to keep quiet...he cut the first bits of carrot and celery too big, so I tipped them back out.
Then he moved the machine to his side of the kitchen.
He brought it over to me, browning the mince. 'I think I might have overfilled it'...err yes, just a touch ;)
So then I got it in batches. 'Nice lot of veg' I said, 'yes and I haven't done the onion yet' - which should have been done first. Then I had to pick out big chunks of onion.
Then when I went to the fridge there were the mushrooms that I'd said could go in...
Jobs like that are so much easier when there's two of you aren't they? :D

He does crumbles by hand, he's good at rubbing in - don't think I've ever mentioned how easy it is in the processor ;)

Afternoon all, it's nicer now than it was earlier - when we got up it looked a lot like rain and it must be about 7-8 degrees colder  :( However, it brightened up a bit so we went for a lovely long walk on the beach. That particular walk means we come back by the road, so we passed the Sunday market which has been done up a lot, we had a mooch (spotted a few nice possibilities for Cword) and we concluded with an icecream from the very nice new icecream shop. Came back and mooched some more around the house before having our lunch, then Miss Osc texted and said they were going out for their tea to the restaurant across the road from us and asked if we would like to join them - great, no cooking then :D :D All in all a very nice Sunday. Thinking of Shell :( :( Enjoy the rest of your day everyone :)
