I grew up in a house where we never ate any of that there foreign muck  Apart from when we had fish and chips, every main meal involved meat, vegetables and gravy.
Proper Sunday teas too where the table was filled with sandwiches and cakes, tinned fruit and a trifle and a dish of cucumber and onion soaked in vinegar with bread and butter to put it on.

Snap   I didn't eat pasta, pizza or even yoghurt until I was a teenager

Found Oliver hiding in sashas closet today "what are you doing in here?" I asked him "looking for the Cinderella dress and wand" he replied

So being the good mum I am, I helped him to come out of the closet and helped him into his sisters dress. "I need a crown too" he said. 1 crown found, and off he went as happy as (Larry?).

Oh bless....the secretary at John's office has a 4 year old son who loves dresses, she took him into the office a month or so back and he was wearing a Disney Princess one. He's often answered the door wearing one when John's called round to her house too. His Dad doesn't show much interest though, his parents are together but he simply doesn't do anything with him, so he spends all of his time at home with his Mom and she's a very girly girl - her hair, clothes and make up are always perfect - so I suppose she's the only influence he has!

Have just started a big pot of chilli with the latest glut of toms and chilli peppers from the greenhouse - it's starting to smell really good 8-)

Liquorice tea. Now there's a taste experience. I think I like it.

Liquorice tea? Hmm, not sure about that one :?

Two of the 12 vanilla cupcakes with chocolate fudge frosting went down well too - but that was one each ;)

I can't make my mind up about it Di. Have you ever chewed liquorice root? If so, it's very like that - even down to the woody smell and taste.

Yes I have :)
Don't think I'd want to drink it ;) I'm happy with nice, plain tea - occasionally blackcurrant, or mint, but mostly - just tea :)
