Bouncers

Postby cromwell » 06 Sep 2013, 14:59

This followed "Educated in Yorkshire" and was about doormen working in Blythe and Jesmond, in Geordieland.
Blythe looked to be as rough as a bear's bum, Jesmond a nice place and the bouncers themselves pretty OK people.
What did surprise me was the level of drunkenness of the mainly young boozers.
I've probably drunk too much all my life but I've never got so bad as to collapse flat out on the pavement. One girl got drunk and broke her ankle falling off her mile high Loboutin-copy shoes.
Mind you, line of the show; two girls stagger up to a pub and are denied entry. As they reel off into the night, one of the doormen says "Even the tide wouldn't take them two out..."

Got that on the planner too, but John watched it while it was on and I caught the bit with that comment
