I'm wearing jeans ( well jeggings to be more accurate) and will be wearing boots and a raincoat when I go out in a bit :? The season has turned here today, well and truly.......

Morning chums :D a rainy day here, but I'm happy about that as like Di says, the gardens need a good soak. I do hope it picks up for next week though when we are in Devon.
Not doing much today, just sorting out my sewing room and looking for storage ideas on Pinterest :D

Morning Loz, I hope it picks up for you too :) Becks has a residential course on Exmoor at the end of October as part of her uni studies - bet that will be bracing!

I've had a good sort through the cupboard and come up with raspberry and lime jam, marrow and ginger jame, fig and cranberry chutney - not made by me but by a friend and given to me so if it wins anything I will credit her with it - orange marmalade and damson jam.

The raspberry cupcakes are out and the carrot cake cup cakes are in and I'm just about to go and mix up my Vicky sponge. And I'm on my third load of washing - sadly am having to dry it in the drier but hey ho. Then I can run the hoover round.

I'm going to venture into L's room this afternoon and have a massive clearout - you can't see the floor in there.

Then I will start on the toad in the hole for dinner.

And I still have time to come on the lappy. Talk about multi tasking!!

It's amazing how much you can get done without the girls around!!!

Well, it's amazing how much some people can get done ;)
Raspberry cupcakes sound nice :)

Kaz I don't think I could handle boots, I still have bare feet  :D It is cooler, but it's quite nice really :)

Loz I need to do that too, the bits in the little room are what we had - a shelf, which wasn't originally for books, just display - and one of those canvas-covered shelf units. It's ok, especially the canvas-covered wotsit, that's quite good as you can see the stacks of material, etc.
But I do need to work out better shelving - in a small space it has to be just right doesn't it.

Oh yes, exciting post, we've got the shiny new debit cards for our shiny new joint account - a bit surprised, they're different cards, not duplicates - but that's good :)
And I've been having a lovely time, playing with my shiny new proper mp3 player, courtesy of some argos vouchers :)
Might have to make a cake though, keep thinking about Debih's cupcakes :D

The raspberry cupcakes are lovely. Rather annoyingly I had to buy a punnet of raspberries yesterday as there are none left on the allotment (according to Mick although I do wonder if he actually went!) and although I have 20lb of them in the freezer they will just be mush when they are defrosted - frozen for jams, etc.

I haven't tried the carrot cupcakes - they are a new recipe that I found online - but as I am just having my lunch I might wash my sardines on toast down with one.

Good morning all - it's gone from being warm t shirt weather to cool raincoat weather overnight.

Debbie, you're making me very hungry! It all sounds delicious! :D

Loz, I hope the weather clears up for you xx

Not much going on here today. After the gym I went clothes shopping. I'll do a thread about that on the clothing board. Since I've come home I've called a couple of friends for a catch up and now I'm doing a Sky+ catch up 8-)

Have a good day everyone!

Afternoon all, it's turned out to be a lovely day here, although certainly cooler but still warm in the sun. I've been fairly lazy...was at the physio, had my lunch, bought a pair of Scholl sandals on Amazon, caught up on some Sky+ stuff, and am now reluctantly trying to gear myself up for some dusting. I put a load of music books onto the local buy and sell FB page, like I did with the computer stuff the other day, and the woman who took the desk wants them - I wish I had thought of them while she was here the other day as her daughter was admiring Mr. Osc's musical instruments, and she told me that she does piano lessons. However, I don't think she lives too far away. Footie on telly tonight, Ireland -v- Sweden, fingers crossed for us!! Enjoy the rest of the day everyone :)
