I'm not good at dressing up

I'm not good at dressing up

Postby JoM » 06 Sep 2013, 13:00

In fact I'm a hopeless case! Apart from John's work night out every December we never really go anywhere fancy...but my cousin's invited us all to his party next week and the place looks a bit posh so I've had to have a good think.

I'm not a dress person so have decided on dark skinny jeans, a fitted black suit jacket, this and..AND...black suede heels  which, no doubt, will cause me to break my neck somewhere in Birmingham city centre - hopefully after the party though because C is promising good food, Champagne and vodka

BTW the top looks more orange than it actually is - it's more of a red shade.

I‘m rubbish at dressing up too Jo..tonight I‘m wearing a black vintage tea dress that has teeny black and white flowers all over it.
Teamed with my black Converse and biker jacket.

I should probably wear nice black shoes and a more dressy jacket.

But I‘m a rebel without a cause!

Bet you‘ll look lovely. xx

It's just the sort of thing I'd end up wearing Jo, I like things I can put on and forget about :)
It looks good, and will be comfortable too - apart from the shoes :D

That's it Di, put it on and forget about it (and I can kick the shoes off under a table :-P ). I feel so self-conscious if I have to dress up!

Ally, you know me...it'd usually be Converse or biker boots but it might be a bit hot for the boots and the shoes actually look better than Converse

I think I do dressing up better than I do dressing down TBH, but Jo that will be a lovely outfit teamed with the suede heels, and will look great on you 8-) :) :)

I don't do dressing up at all. It must be 20 years since I wore a dress!!!

My favourite dressing up outfit is always smart jeans or a long skirt of some sort, teamed with a nice top and boots!

Thank you Ally :) xx

I like jeans, boots and a nice top too Deb - In winter I live in jeans or leggings, knee boots and long jumpers or tops :D
