Ladies and Gents, it is an 'assessment day' of tests to see if the plate in my back is still working as it should because I have been having problems.

The appointment letter and the information pack tell me that I have to take sports kit for the tests, a night bag with gown, and a supply of my daily drugs. If they find out what the problem(s) is/are and things can be fixed without too much of a problem I will be kept in. If I cannot be sorted there and then I will have to go back.

Sunday will be a washing and sorting out day. Monday morning is ablutions and a taxi...
