I've caught up with it now too (fortunately before reading the thread as I just whizzed down and saw who went   ).

Yes. Speech went a couple of nights ago.

There is Janet, Brian, Les and Ade left.

Not sure who will win although I don't think as I think they are all good.

Janet has surprised me. I nearly didn't watch it because of her as I have never liked her but I have found her hilarious in this. I wasn't keen on Les either before but I have warmed to him.

I would like Ade to win - mainly because I think it would be really cool for Vivian (the punk) to be the winner of sleb Masterchef.

I like Brian, but don't think he will win. I think either Janet or Ade will.................Especially if Janet takes on baord the advice on presentation as I think that could otherwise hold her back......Ade though could be the 'tortoise' of this race - slow and steady wins ;)

Poor Shane, but that lamb was shocking :? He is cute though 8-) :D

Well Brian's wasn't better, it shrank very badly and had holes in it, and his treacle filling was as thin as his pastry :?
I don't know if Ade's pastry was better, hers was certainly very very thin and crispy. I wouldn't fancy pineapple in treacle tart either, but it is the right idea, you're supposed to add lemon zest, some recipes have orange zest, in the filling or the pastry.

Ade's tarts did look lovely, really pretty :)

Edited to add - when I haven't watched it, I don't read this thread ;) :D

Oh good-oh Di, we can discuss it then! :D

Ally, Brian went out - as Di has mentioned his tarts were a fiasco bless him......holes in the pastry and his creme patissiere filling was so thin and runny that it poured out of the case as it was cut into!!!! Les's chocolate filling was runny too but his pastry held up :?

Janet and Ade were by far the best I though, I quite fancied tasting that treacle and pineapple tart, and Janet really took on board the previous remarks about her presentation as her tarts looked fab - as did Ade's. Ade's ice cream looked to die for :) I still think Ade might be the 'stalking horse' and has a chance, but Janet looks the leader to me, at the moment.

Les won't win, he's a lovely chap but is hanging on by the skin of his teeth ;) :)

I quite like Janet, she scares the life out of me but I admire her toughness
Looking forard to the final, I ahve really enjoyed watching this contest :D

It's been enjoyable each time Kaz, the celebs involved by finals time have all been worth watching, regardless of what they were famous for - Christina Hamilton for instance surprised me at the time.

Les has to be admired doesn't he, he's obviously had to work really hard to do as well as he has. He's always either laughing or on the verge of tears, or sometimes both :D
Ade is just so very likeable and would be such good company - and can cook :D
Janet scares me too  - blimey, if you met her and she didn't like you, you'd sure know about it wouldn't you! But I knew she could cook before this, as I'm sure did the judges, but it's the professional touches that count isn't it.

Looking forward to tonight :D
