Tenancy starts next Monday, then the Freshers stuff starts that weekend - so a week today

Just ordered her a TV license, and looking online for a printer for her :)

Oh blimey...that's soon come around

How are you feeling? I know she's lived away from you at her Dad's before now but this is her going off into the world on her own isn't it :?

Joe told me the other day that he's leaving home and buying a flat when he's 18. I explained about mortgages and he doesn't think he'll be able to raise the deposit - he currently has 67p - but thinks that rent, which I said is around £500 per month, will be doable

Bereft to be honest and she hasn't gone yet! I'm surprised as I thought I'd be fine

(((((Kaz))))) Hopefully the idea of it and all the stress of making it happen are worse than the reality.
She's a lovely girl and it certainly won't be out of sight, out of mind for her either :) xx

((((Kaz)))) It's good that she's close enough to home to make her popping back or you going over to see her pretty easy ;)

I remember sobbing when my sister left home to do her nurse training when she was 18 - she only went 7 miles away

:) Yes, Nottingham would have been a lot harder from that POV ;)

I think my sis probably ran up a flag to celebrate when I went - we didn't get on in those days, although we are very close now

Yes, Nottingham's not the easiest place to get to :?

We didn't get on either - I was the VERY annoying little sister. Thinking about it, the tears were probably just because I had no one to wind up once she'd gone :-P

Oh Kaz, I'm sorry you and B have this to sort out on top of everything. It will get sorted though and even though the first couple of weeks will be hard for you, the time will fly and B will be home again before you know it x
