Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

The house we lived in when the children were young had a big old apple tree in the garden so we always went blackberry picking and I'd freeze lots of pie sized packs. We also went gooseberry picking at a local farm, we were eating fruit pie or crumble all through the winter........happy days :D

Hope you get B's fees sorted kaz.

Clients this morning and again later this afternoon. Will probably pop out to the shops sometime inbetween but no other plans for today.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all.

I've had a lie-in this morning, then taken our Prince for a brisk walk.

We are off on a week's holiday in the Cotswolds on Wednesday, in a self-catering cottage with optional cooked breakfasts.
We had better start sorting out now what we need to take. ( As we are going near Banbury I suppose I should check that the
my cock-horse is in good working order.) --- I'm taking the fine lady with me, of course.

Hope you all have a pleasant day.
Aggers

Morning all....just! It's lovely here too, plenty of cloud around but when the sun is out it's really warm. I've just been for a walk on the pier and it was gorgeous, quite windy making all the wires tap against the masts of the yachts which is a sound I really identify with home. Michael started playschool this morning, poor little thing - he was really excited going with his new clothes on and his little lunchbox, but there were tears (and not from Mummy and Daddy who managed to hold it together!). He is rather shy with other children although is fine with all of us, so the first while could be a bit tough for him.

Big pile of ironing awaiting me after my shower  Good luck on your first day, Poll! Have a good day everyone :)

Good afternoon all!
It's quite dull and cool here today. I was back at the gym at 7am - phew! I did some shopping after that. This afternoon I've got some housework to do. Tom's gone out, to Stafford I think, and Joe's mooching. I must remember to name label his school uniform later, haven't got to do that for Tom this year though as Sixth Form is non uniform - I thought buying uniform every year was a pain until I spent almost an hour waiting outside Primark's changing rooms for him the other week

Have a good day everyone!
Hope Michael soon settles Osc ;) and that B's issue will be easily sorted Kaz! What a nuisance when you think it's already done!

Well apparently Jo UWE hadn't received confirmation of her tuition loan, despite us having had confirmation of it in writing since May! UWE admin told B to ring the student finance people to see what was happening and chase it up - erm isn't that the admin's job, not for the student themselves to sort? :? Anyhow after B on the verge of tears sitting in a queue for ten minutes the student finance guy was great, and sorted things but I am annoyed with UWE. This isn't the first time they've cocked up - the first time was when they insisted I hadn't filled out the finance forms correctly (I had!) and rang me so I had to give details and a deposit over the phone  :( Hartpury is part of UWE and they weren't crash hot on the admin side either................ :?

It was very stressful for B who is already a bit wobbly about leaving home

What a mess!
Poor B, it's a stressful time anyway without having any added worries.

When does she start? :?
