two of our 6th form schools are giving 6th form pupils
Iphones to help them study?
there are 250 pupils and the phones retail at 250.00 each
how many will bother to learn with them
they are being paid for out of school funds
and for a laugh my friend is a supervisor in the playground
new rule this term

What a lucky school being able to afford iphones for all their sixth formers.

Our little primary school has to ration the Pritt sticks as the budget is so small!!!!

it is silly, I have heard of a school in Edinburgh giving I think 3rd year pupils ipads or tablets to help them study, they have some kind of block on them so they cannot access certain social networking sites whilst at school.

Not sure how they will help them study and the cost is huge!

As for the tambourine idea, I have used this in a pre-school setting when the children are to come to the story corner instead of shouting excessively and it does work and is kinder to everyone than shouting.....not sure how it would work for older kids though!
