Good Morning Tuesday

Postby tonicha » 27 Aug 2013, 06:57

Morning everyone

Cloudy again  not sure what has happened with our weather this year, but it really is weird - there is even talk about thunderstorms on Thursday  But at least it's warm and at least the sun does come out to play later in the day  8-)

Off up to Bente's to do lovely things like cleaning the fridges and defrosting them. Grumpy will be sanding and painting doors, as she doesn't like them  They're pine, nothing wrong with them, but I think she likes to give us something to do

Hope you all have a good day and the sun shines for you xx

Morning Ton, morning Ally and everyone :) I had a really bad night, with my back so bad I couldn't sleep, and then my mind started whirring in the early hours......so I feel ropey this morning. Just waiting for my dental practice to open as I had an appt for 10.20 but really can't face it! Lots of prep work for a little bridge, but I can't face the thought of it today :? Will reschedule it for a week or so's time, when I'm feeling better......

Ally my hair has grown like mad too these past few weeks, but it will have to wait until my back is better, I couldn't sit in those hair wash chairs at the moment!

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning :)
Sunny :D

I'm off shopping this morning; we're a bit short of fresh food, haven't bought much since we got home. Plus I'm making some cakes on Saturday, for the annual show on Sunday of the rescue place Minnie came from, so will need extra flour, sugar and stuff.
The show is only a few miles up the road which is good, as the actual place is way over in Bournemouth so I can't really do anything much else for them.
Have fun Ton ;)
Everyone have a good day
Di

Ps - Two GBBO's for me, I haven't watched last week's yet :D
PPS Oh you poor thing Kaz, I really do feel for you. The advice is to take painkillers, straight away and at full dosage, for several days ((((((Kaz)))))) xx

Yes Kaz, Dawgdogs (It's Dorset Animal Workers' Group) :)

The lady who runs it does so from a small terraced house; she has dogs there, plus a network of volunteers who take them in until they find homes. She went to Buckingham Palace last year to receive an award :)
We knew we wanted a dog once we had a house, and there was a butcher up the road with a card in his window. It turned out he had a farm, and his daughter did a lot of the home inspections for Dawg. He retired from the butchers a couple of years ago, but the annual show is held on his farm :)

That's a great story Di, funny how you 'found' Minnie in a butcher's window - it's usually sausages :D :D  I like to share their statuses when you post them, people like that do such a great work 8-)

Thanks Saundra, its feeling a bit autumnal here too  xxx

Hope your back eases up soon Kaz. xx
Apart from not being mentally up for the dental visit I don't think lying in the chair would have done your back any favours either. (((wee hug)))

How about this then Saundra?
Peter Jones in cycling shorts?

Morning. I'm back from the back of beyond, aka Edale.

We got back yesterday about 6pm but I was exhausted. Had a fab weekend with a couple of mishaps. The camping barn only slept four families and there were 5 families going so one of them was taking their campervan - which broke down on the way. They ended up sleeping in a tent in the paddock attached to the barn. Then on the Saturday morning on our way to Pooles Cavern in Buxton one of my friends had a phone call to say her dad had died overnight so she had to shoot off to be with her mum.

So we ended up with 11 children and 8 adults in the end. The camping barn was basic but had the most amazing views. We walked a lot, ate a lot, played lots of cards (no tv - the kids played endless card games until it went dark and then played murder in the dark out in the field - pitch black as there were no street lights around) and drank copious amounts of alcohol.

Having a lazy day today. Mick is back at work, L has gone out with a friend, S is still in bed and I am pottering but not getting much done other than planning for S's birthday and party.
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!
