We're off to a dog rescue place this morning - not to get another pet or to get rid of our charming Prince, but
we have several as-new items that our aged pet will not now require, and which we are happy to donate to this
excellent charity. I think it might be quite an emotional experience, as I'm an old softy when it comes to pets.

I said a prayer this morning for those poor victims of chemical warfare.

Thanks for the hugs. Early night for me tonight. No kaz, apparently I'm fine (head) but my neck is the problem. It's lost the natural curve for some reason. Osteo on Tuesday. Painkillers till then.

I really sympathise - I had been getting a little lax with the neck exrcises the physio gave me, but lugging bags around on holiday has shown me I can't afford to be complacent, so I'm back to doing mine every morning again

It appears to be dry today but cloudy, we are having a lazy day, and the next few weekends will be the same to save spending any money

May go for a walk in a while once we get ready and then have lunch and going to pop over to my parents, 5min walk away from us

Good morning everybody.
Have washed the car and tidied the front garden. Had a coffee between the two jobs. It is sunny but we had some rain last night.
Hope to do the back garden this afternoon

Kaz what amazed me was the instant effect of bought sliced bread !! It's such a long time since I had any I'd quite forgotten - by the time I went to meet Fugi on Wednesday I felt quite fat, and I hadn't had much of it, just 2 days' picnic lunches!

Our cottage had bedding provided and beds made up We did have to take towels though, and yes I had to bite the bullet and use the dryer for those yesterday. I hardly ever do, it's a washer/dryer so not as good as a tumbler, plus you can't get another load washed until it's finished...I've got a load in washing now, and considering today was meant to be lovely but it's quite dark and cloudy, that may need the drier too

Di I just went up like a flipping balloon as I ate lots of bread-y stuff and cakes, far more damage than the amount of extra calories alone should have done! We walked tons too so it really was the wheat/carbs doing the damage..............lovely at the time but need to go very low carb now for a week or so! Otherwise I'll be wearing track suit bottoms or my drawstring linen trousers day in day out, as nothing else will do up

I had the option to hire bedding and really should have taken them up on it Luckily although overcast we've not had rain yet so the two loads out so far are drying................dreading the flipping ironing though

Ton they use scissors??? LOL
