We're home!

Postby Diflower » 23 Aug 2013, 17:20

Hello :)
I know I've popped in and out quickly but I still feel like I've been away :D

The drive home was hard work, lots of traffic almost everywhere, fortunately we did know one quieter road.
We stopped at Bb's mum and dad's on the way back; they were out so we had a walk down to the quay for our picnic, then back to see them.
Yesterday we did try to go to Sidmouth, on Cal's recommendation, and it did look lovely, but it was full! - nowhere to park at all, a bit like visitors coming here I guess  So we went on to Budleigh Salterton and got parked straight away.

Stopped at a farm just down from where we were staying, they sell their own pork so we bought sausages for us and Bb's mum & dad, plus we got us and them great big bunches of freshly-picked runner beans (BB's mum's favourite, she'd rather those than a box of chocolates :D )

Eldest has now gone home, but this is youngest's usual weekend so he's here till Sunday :)
We've had a really lovely few days, not all that far from home but quite different.
I'll get the photos sorted out tomorrow and post a few :)

Welcome back Di, sounds like a lovely break. You still have the bank holiday weekend now to extend your holiday too :D

We do Osc, although Bb has to work on Monday, but not for long :)
Tomorrow is forecast to be wet, but Sunday lovely, which is perfect as we should be raring to go again by then :D

Thanks for the welcome backs :)
It really was loverly, especially as the doggie has been so poorly we've hardly been anywhere this year. We've not taken her with us before (not really ideal in a caravan) but she's had a lovely time too :)
