Good morning all! It's a cold, frosty and foggy one here this morning although the fog does seem to be lifting a bit now.
No gym for me this morning :( I would've gone early as I have a parcel being delivered sometime after 9am but John had an early start as he has a meeting up north so that scuppered my plans. Billy's been for a walk over the common though, we were back by 8.30, and now he's warming my feet up nicely while we wait for UPS ;)

We had Tom's parents evening last night. He's doing very well, his teachers were all singing his praises. The maths teacher asked if we have any other children as she wants them in her class - we had to admit to having Joe at the school, and apologised in advance should she ever find herself teaching him  They're both so different!
The whole evening was such a palaver though. Usually they hold it in one of the halls and all of the teachers are in there. If you find yourself waiting to see a teacher you just look around to see if anyone else on your list is waiting to see anyone and just nip over to see them. It's always seemed to run very nicely to clockwork. This time though they decided that the teachers would see the pupils in their classrooms so we were running all around the school (which is huge and like a maze). When we got to our first appointment there were three waiting ahead of us. In all, to see four teachers - and we didn't spend more than five minutes with any of them - we were there for 70 minutes. I think I'll email the school today with some feedback.

Have a good day everyone!

LOL Jo all three of mine are very different! I think nature plays just as big a part as nurture, if not more, no matter what 'they' say ;) Well done to Tom! :) Hope UPS come up trumps 8-)

At B's school one year they changed from the hall to individual classrooms and I had the same experience, it was much easier in the big hall! Feedback is a good idea 8-)

Morning Saundra! :) :)

Oh definitely! It was obvious from when Joe was newborn that he was very different to Tom ;)

Morning all :)

Mr.J is really embracing this retirement lark, we've not been up long

It's cold and frosty here so we're not planning on venturing far. Mr.J's just gone off for the papers, we'll have a late brekkie and then set about decorating our tree (which has been in it's stand looking rather bare and lonely since Monday) and the house. I do love seeing the house all Christmassy 8-)

Hope the heating engineer does the trick lozzles.
Hope you all have a good day :P :P :P

Good morning all, up since about 8.30 after a poor night's sleep owing to Mr. Osc having a heavy head cold with resulting snorting and snuffling. Eventually I took myself off to the spare room but found it hard to get back to sleep until almost 6am :( It's a rather dreary day, bits of blue sky but inclined to rain and very raw and cold. I should be in the shower by now, and will go as soon as I've done this, as I have to wrap some presents for my brother and his family and bring them to my sister as she will see him when he comes from Cork for the day on Friday - I won't see him as I will have Michael here in our house rather than in his own which is actually very near the railway station that my brother will travel to.

Mr. Osc is going to put up the tree today (I hope - no sign of him doing it yet  ) so that Michael can decorate it with us tomorrow. Going dancing tonight. Have a good day everyone, and NOW I am definitely going to step away from this laptop and go for my shower :x

It is supposed to warm up today.... I'm wait--ing!
Anyway, 12/12/12 is supposed to be a very lucky day, so I think I'll just pop
over to the shop across the street to buy a lottery ticket. :D

I'm just finishing my two blueberry muffins and coffee as we speak and
am feeling very contented. I expect an easy day of it today at work, then
I have to go home and do my laundry. I'll have too much going on during the
weekend to be bothered doing it then. While I'm at it, I may just dust and
sweep the kitchen floor. Living in a small apartment does have its perks.
There's usually very little cleaning to do! :?

Happy Wednesday, everyone. 8-)

I've walked to town and back, despite the snow! I decided to put my old snow boots on and see how far I got - got to the top of the road without it feeling slippy and just kept going  In fact it was warmer than yesterday, and all the main roads and paths were cleared so it was quite a nice walk and town was quiet as I guess far fewer people than normal were venturing out 8-)

Pepper has had two walks already - Mick took her over the field first thing and B just walked her up to the Co-op and back so she's doing ok despite the weather :)

I took a couple of piccies of the snow - will post them later on the Piccie board :x :P
