I'm an early bird as we need to be out of here fairly early - firstly to drop Pepper with her Grandma and then to get ourselves over to Staines for our birthday meal by the river. There will be us, her two brothers, her dad, my sister and her family............everyone she loves best in the world

Sunny but breezy and cooler this morning so far.
Showers due but not till much later, hopefully after we've barbeque'd our lamb this evening
Might go to the big car boot sale, might take Minnie round the sea wall, also we need to have a go at fixing the roof rack on the car. Don't want to try it for the first time the day before we go on holiday

Morning all
Looks a bit of a mixed day weather wise. Just bits and bobs for me today. I think I'll make up the spare bed in case I need it after my surgery. I know from last time I get a bit uncomfortable and need lots of pillows to keep my arm elevated.
Apart from that a bit of cleaning and maybe some sewing as will be unable to do any for a while.

Good luck with the roof rack Di, don't overdo anything before your holidays.

morning everyone

The sun is out at the moment - it brightened up yesterday, and I didn't have sun cream on, got home, my face looked like a beacon!! Thankfully the aftersun has calmed it down and its brown looking lol lol

Today, we are going to get ready and hit the shops, I saw a lovely bag at TK Maxx last week so hoping it is still in, its pink and gorgeous (only £20!). Then we will go to mum & dads and then home to start packing

Amy is VERY excited!!!

We fly from Glasgow at 8am on Tuesday so need to be there by 6, decided it would be easier to stay over, to we are booked into a holiday inn express next to the airport tomorrow night and got a weeks parking will take about an hour to get there so will leave tomorrow, probably after tea time.

Amy was asking when she woke up, can she go in the pool the day we get there - of course I said, we land just before noon so can get lunch and then get out there!! Had this holiday booked just over a year now, been a long time coming!!

Happy birthday to Becky, can't believe she is 18 Kaz, she must have been about 7/8 when we first met!! OMG!!! Just have to say, she is absolutely gorgeous too!! lucky girl!!

It's hot here - and I'm staying inside today

A trifle stingy in a couple of places and rather red in a lot of places not normally seen by the sunshine but brown everywhere else

Poll it's The Law If it's before about 6pm you have to race into your room, throwing all your clothes off, and put on your cossie - pack it on the top - and see how quickly you can be in the pool
If it's after 6, the same rules apply but it's not a cossie and it a race to have a drink by the pool

We will deffo be in the pool, Im not really one for going into the pool these days (probably more to do with my weight/body image etc) but I will be getting in with Amy!!
