iphone recommendations - apps and cover!

Postby debih » 27 Jul 2013, 12:57

My iphone has arrived. It is up and running but I haven't had time to play on it yet.

So I am after recommendations for apps. I have so far downloaded bbc iplayer, bbc radio, a torch and google maps.

What other must have apps should I get?

And what sort of case do I go for - a hard back, a skin or a full cover with a flip front.

Decisions, decisions.

Off to finish my jobs for the day and then back to browse the boards.

Here you go Debih. This was in last week's Observer, 50 best games for iphones and tablets. It's divided into action, puzzle. strategy, etc:

I've kept the article and intend working through some of them :)

Oh and the one Jo recommended, we've downloaded it now. You go outside and look at the stars and they're all there on the app with all the names, it's brill, we're looking forward to using it on holiday :)

I have some weather apps, which I really like. I prefer a flip top cover to protect the screen even though I have that sticky see-throughy-screen-covery thingy. I also have a couple of news apps, and internet radio apps.

I've got a clear hard back case - from the 99p Store - used with a screen protector. Whichever case you get, a screen protector is a must.
I haven't got that many Apps, but do use the Instagram one quite a bit.

What is Instagram? I've seen the app and I've noticed that people put pictures on FB with it but I don't know what it actually is!
