Morning all. Another gorgeous morning but, according to the BBC weather site I need to make the most of it as from tomorrow onwards it is supposed to be rain, rain, rain. I don't care as long as it is sun, sun, sun in Cornwall from 3rd August for a week.

Major excitement in our house today (or at least there will be when S gets out of bed and L drags herself away from the tv) as it is L's pony party this afternoon.

It was a Groupon deal - 10 children for £70 get a 90 minute pony party which includes a short hack, gymkhana and whatever else happens at a pony party. I am hoping that L won't be disappointed and be shoved on a lead rein as she is quite advanced and I have a feeling that the pony party will be geared up towards much more novice riders. But I have warned her that it won't be like her normal riding lessons and if she is on lead rein to make the most of not having to work hard at staying on!!!!

We have to get ourselves to Edale (about an hour away) for 3pm (another friend is driving as well) and they will be riding until around 4.30pm. Then we are going to head back towards home, stopping off at Chatsworth for a picnic and a dip in the river.

It all got very complicated last week when Julie, who is my friend who is driving with me, found out that her daughter, who is also coming to the party, had a flute exam at 2.30pm. She managed to change it to 1pm and is gong straight from there to the stables - which means that she is now taking 5 children to the flute exam to accompany L.

No doubt I will be needing a large glass of red tonight.

And my new iphone is supposed to be arriving this evening - although we may to change it as Mick might be working away and I can't guarantee being home.....

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here, hoping it stays the same for tomorrow afternoon, mother's CH are having their annual summer garden party for residents and family. They usually have a bouncy castle for the younger children and it's huge fun. It would be a shame if it rains after all this lovely weather.

E had a good night and although very bruised and a bit sore is feeling almost back to normal. He's just popped out for the papers. He spent most of yesterday dozing so I'm planning an easy day.

Hope you all have a good day :D
