I have been to Singapore and Dubai and Abu Dreary, San Fran, NY and most of the European major cities, and they do nothing for me. Give me the the plains, the ravines, the open spaces any day.

However, if city shopping is what they want to do then I hope that they have a great time. :D :D :D

It sounds like a fab holiday - I hope they have just the best time ever.

I'm with Kaz though, beach, sun lounger and lovely scenerey (but I'll add copious amounts of food and wine into the equation ;-) )

I've been to lots of places too; some I'd go back to anytime, but there's nowhere new long distance that I feel any great wish to visit. Well, actually, I'd absolutely love to go to India but I don't do very well health-wise in those very hot, humid climates, so it would have to be on a big, post-lottery win budget :D

Shopping at home doesn't appeal but in foreign parts I love all the local stuff - not the air-conditioned malls anywhere though :)
