Morning all - no rain here yet, but it is cooler and windy, and the sun is starting to come out. The gorse fires that were burning here last week were revived by a change in wind direction yesterday, and apparently firefighters have been dealing with them during the night. Mundane stuff for me today, visit to Lidl and whatever h/w I feel the urge to do (usually not much  ). Have a good day everyone, hope you get to see the new grandparents Saundra!

Morning all :D

We had a storm too, but it's drying rapidly and the sun's out in full force so I'm guessing it's going to be hot again today, it certainly feels just as muggy.

We've had a lazy start, got to wait in for a delivery which I've been promised will be here by 1pm. After lunch we're off to check in at the hotel in Oxford ready for E's op tomorrow. Planning a lovely meal this evening as he won't be able to eat when he gets up in the morning and as the op isn't til the afternoon he's likely to be a tad hungry

Hope you all have a good day :D

We had hardly any rain overnight, certainly not enough to water the garden. We still have the chance of storms but at the moment it's just a bit dull and a bit cooler. Still 24c in here though :)
Osc I have managed to clean the tiles by the drainer/window, and 3 kitchen cupboards, that seems about my limit, what a shame ;) :D

Good afternoon all! The heavy rain and storms of this morning stopped around 9am, at least the garden has had a good soaking. It's still very warm and humid though and the sun is making an appearance.

I went to the gym this morning, did some shopping and then sorted my Dad out with a new TV. We took him to Currys last night to look and he saw one he liked but I found it cheaper, with a free 5 year guarantee, at a local retailer so I arranged for John to pick it up during his lunch break and we'll take it around and set it up for him tonight. He likes his TVs, my Dad, his last one was a Sony which is only about 3 years old and he says we can have it if we want it otherwise it'll go to the charity shop. John said he'd like it for the downstairs living room. I like that room because it's not got a TV but I think I've lost the battle  A bit of a compromise though, I've been wanting a unit from Ikea, like the ones we've got in the lounge, study and spare room, for in there and he didn't want one but now he's going to need something to put his TV on :-P

Good luck to E, I hope all goes well tomorrow xx

Hope the service went well Debbie, I used to cry at the leaver's service even when mine were just going up to another class

hi everyone :)

Well, the sun has gone :( we have had some heavy downpours today and some thunder this morning, it dried up and was very clammy, my mentor's car said 25 degrees - no sunshine! At the moment we have on/off heavy rain, thunder and lightning, which I don't like at all :(

Good day at placement, and have to say I am getting quite anxious/nervous about it nearly being the end, I finish my placement next Thursday and then in Uni on Friday next week - then its over.

Amy is enjoying being with my parents which is good, although I am getting Friday off this week as I worked Saturday, so getting a long weekend with my girl :D :D :D

Hope you are all well
