Oh dear. At least I am not the only one. :o

My son once got his mum a car care kit for her birthday - big sponge, bottle of polish, cloth, de-icer, scraper, spray bottle...

She always, ALWAYS, goes to the car wash about five doors away and her birthday is late April. :D

I think the worst Christmas gifts I was ever bought was a make up kit, a few years ago - my aunty bought one for me and one for my cousin, her daughter, because she didn't think we wore enough make up. It was one of those huge kits with 600 shades of eyeshadow, 450 little circles of lipstick and a massive Barbie pink blusher - all for the bargain price of £1.99 and they remove the top layer of your skin as an added extra 8-)
It's lovingly remembered in our house as the hooker make up kit

Did I ever show you the picture of the Chanel mirror compact that John's Mom bought me from Tunisia? She's convinced that it's real...

And this is why our annual Crap Christmas Present swap is always so much fun.

I always look forward to the rubbish presents now to see if I can win the prize for the most pointless present received.

That reminds me - I must find out who is hosting it this year and when it is.

B brought me a teasmaid once it was huge

by the time you had filled it up put the tea in the tea pot

it was quicker to go down stairs and make a cup
and it made a real din when ready
cant remember what happened to it

Terrible thing and it made lousy tea! This was a streamlined version and I lost a little filter thing down the sink so that was the end of that!

I think I would have loved Jo's make-up kit with 600 eyeshadows though. The car washing kit and the telescope wouldn't have gone down well at all. The saucepans turned out lovely Saundra 8-)
