I was sensible and went out at 9 (had to anyway since Bb had to leave by 10.15), just a couple of bits needed plus that hair colour

I'm managing to keep the house bearable, with every door and window open to grab any through breeze, and curtains drawn in any room while the sun's on it. Our bedroom gets the afternoon and evening sun, so I try to remember to go up once the sun's gone and pull the curtains back again Much harder if you're out all day.
The back's much better now thanks, and the arm seems finally to be responding to the anti-b's, thank goodness, it was definitely much less painful when I woke up this morning

Good afternoon all, it's another scorcher here. I walked home through the woods from the gym this morning and it's mainly shady and cool (and there were hundreds of little flies in the woods this morning ) but what a shock when I walked out of the woods onto the common - it was like that moment when you open the hot oven door.

Joe's due home shortly. School finishes at 1pm today. Roll on September 4th when they both go back. He was shattered yesterday when he got home from sports day and I could've wrung his (bright pink) house t shirt out, it was soaked through with sweat.

No plans for today, the washing and ironing were done yesterday ) actually, the ironing was done at 9pm last night when it got a little cooler. I might read later and tonight we'll take Billy for a lovely long walk on the Chase, but that'll be much later tonight.
