Morning

Cold day here today. Took the kids to the beach and shoed he how to skip stones, not hat they could do that. Missey had her 4 year old immunisations today so I was trying to distract her, but by 3 she had a fever and was looking sick. Poor live, she's always had trouble with this one. Thankfully it's last one.

Afternoon all (just!) It's lovely here too, not totally sunny but warm and quite humid, which is making me even lazier than usual  I've been for a walk on the pier where there was a teeny little breeze and off for my shower shortly. Dancing this evening, but we will head out a bit early as we want to pop into a shopping centre for a few things and a little mooch. Enjoy this great weather, it's such a treat - you generally get periods of reasonably good summer weather in the UK, but here we have not had a decent summer in literally years, so we are making the most of it.

Good afternoon all!
Okay, okay...I'm getting fed up of this heat now. I hate how much effort it takes to do the simplest jobs, I hate how it's too hot to take Billy for our long afternoon walk, how lazy it makes me feel, I can't be doing with all of this sitting around and waiting for it to cool down. And if I eat another salad I might just scream!!!!! :?
If we could keep the sunshine but turn the heat down a notch and I'd be happy :-P

No plans for today. I've been to the gym and done some shopping. Tom's gone to meet friends for a picnic and Joe's gone back to school after being poorly for two days. I'm enjoying having the house to myself for a few hours - it's been a while with Tom finishing school in June and no doubt, with Joe breaking up on Friday, it'll be a while before it happens again

  Jo what are we like?? We've had a shocking winter, several foul, wet summers in a row, and now we have the heat we're all moaning including me on occasion, when I can't sleep in it ;)   This is apparently the best run of hot summer weather already since 2006, and set to stay this way for a while yet 8-) :D :D Osc I'm pleased you are getting some warmth too :kick:

I am a whirlwind at the moment, which is odd in this heat :? Got up very early to see M off to his train, ironed, hoovered upstairs, cleaned Mick's study (hoorah!) cleaned B's bathroom (yuk!!  ) washed the sofa cover from the study, washed our throw from the bed so I can put it away for cooler weather, washed a load of whites, polished our bedroom furniture, then went to town! Walked to the Dock, had some lunch sat outside which was fabulous! They are preparing for the Food Festival down there, putting up marquees and stalls - Mary Berry, Gino di Campo, and I think James Martin are the star chefs giving demos! Starts either Friday or Saturday I think......

Then walked back to the town centre, popped into Sainsbury's for a few bits and caught the bus home before the milk turned to yoghurt

Slightly tired now, but not unusually so. Hot weather suits me, I reckon I was a lizard in a past life..........

Saundra, I will happily take the low 20s but this is too much
The boys don't like it this hot either. Poor Joe's got his sports day tomorrow. They've got to go to Stoke by coach - around 1200 of them plus staff - as there's not a stadium around here for them to use (why they can't use the school field like we always did I have no idea! And can you imagine how transporting that many eats into the school budget? Ridiculous!!) and then as he's not participating he'll just have to sit in it all day. It'll be a long day as they're not expected back at school until 5pm.
