We've had a wonderful weekend

Postby Kaz » 14 Jul 2013, 16:49

:D Very very hot, well over 90 degrees over in Staines but we've had a fantastic time!!!!! My cousin had put a massive awning over the whole of his back garden, and set up a stage for the live music at the end of the garden, on his decking :D He had his garage set up as the bar, with the drinks and glasses on trestles, and the food - both hot and cold - set up in the conservatory. He asked the neighbours over, so nobody minded the noise - just as well as the party went on until after 2.30m which is when we left

Lots of rellies there, including my Aunty Rose who I haven't seen for ages, a cousin who now lives in Sicily who I haven't seen since before B was born.................and oh it was just lovely!

The band were very very good, especially the guitarist as they belted out Dire Straits and some old punk classics - who knew Mick could dance like that still??? LOL :kick: :kick: We danced a LOT and the funny thing is that even on so little sleep - we were up by 10am this morning to have brekkie in Staines with my sis and bro in law - I am still not tired!!! :D :D  Even though after brekkie we walked up the Staines towpath towards Wraysbury and back, in the heat 8-) :D My sister and I have promised we will definitely do more nice weekends together, the four of us, now her children are grown up, B off to Uni and H at his dad's a lot..............

It was a belting weekend!!! :D :D :D
