I loved May we be forgiven.

Dead weird and quirky and really funny in places too.

Brilliant wasn't it Debih, and quite impossible to tell people what it's about - only to tell them to read it :)

I've just ordered it from the Book People. They have a set of three A M Homes - this one, This Book Will Save Your Life, which I'd like to read again, and one called Music For Torching which I really like the sound of. The set was £4.99 and there was a free delivery code too :D

The fact A M Homes is a woman and certainly very brave as if I had to guess I would have imagined May We Be Forgiven was written by a man. Outrageous descriptions about happenings I'd be too scared to write down and so funny. Just one unexpected scenario after another!

Now you have both finished reading it Di and Debih can you see it being made into a film? I sort of can, though never could come up to the book, but who would play the part of our hapless hero? Once upon a time when he was younger I can see Tom Hanks? Even Dustin Hoffman as he does good being confused.

I'm only 70% through because I've been busy stalking The Eagles and Randy Meisner and playing music very loud :kick:

In my head's version he'd be a lot taller than Dustin Hoffman :)
He's not described at all is he, but I thought he was tall, light brown/fair hair, glasses.

That's why I said I should be braver when/if I write anything else Fugi. I wrote one sex scene, but found it incredibly difficult and had to down 3 glasses of wine before I could even start, and then wrote it very fast! The next day I had no idea what I'd written but actually decided it was quite good - no graphic details though ;)

Fugi, from reading This Book Will Save Your Life I assumed that A M Homes was a man too.

Can't wait to read this!

It could be a book people either love or hate. Can't wait to hear your verdict Jo. Interesting to hear what Bb makes of it as that'll be the first male opinion.

He reads very very fast Fugi, but youngest has been here for the weekend so no reading at all! He's only got as far as the first chapter or so.
His reading varies according to his work schedule etc, but I'm itching to hear his verdict too :D

Btw, it really is the case that you can't tell anyone what it's about, can you, as that would rather spoil the whole thing.
