It's going to be 30 degrees here today - thnk I'll just pootle and take it easy, as we've a busy weekend coming

Morning all. Its gorgeous this morning although very hazy.

Pottering at home for me this morning and then I need to pick L up to take her to a school water polo match. I want to watch but I know that it will be stiffling in the pool so I'm going to drop her off and go and do some bits in town and then go back and watch the end. I really don't want to spend 4 hours sitting in there. It is hot on a normal day so today will be unbearable.

Lovely here, not too hot yet and a nice breeze.
Still struggling. Bb's off getting more batteries for the tens. Have ordered a fitness ball from Tesco though, it's meant to be good for sitting on with a bad back, and sitting is what I can't do, so hope it helps. It should be there this afternoon so he can collect it when he goes to get youngest. Only 7 squid so nothing to lose

Oh, bit of a bonus of the bad back. Youngest is in a play tomorrow night, unfortunately I won't be able to go
I shall be attempting to tidy/dust/polish at some point, Bb will hoover; the ironing will be shut in the little bedroom

It's been hot here again today with no breeze at all. I was watching a little battle going on in the gym this morning. It's baking hot in there and the air conditioning is useless, even in Winter it's far too warm - as you walk upstairs from the reception the heat hits you. Usually with air conditioning you're dithering with cold when you walk into it but not here. Anyway, the treadmills are placed around two outside walls, looking out over the park so all very nice, and this fella was running on one just along from me and he opened one of the windows fully to let some air in. After a few minutes one of the instructors came along and closed it fully. A minute or two later treadmill man opened it again. Five minutes later along came the instructor who again closed it, and it went on and on with neither of them saying anything. It was still open when I left. I know when air con is running you shouldn't have windows open but it's that ineffective that I'm sure it makes no difference in this case I checked the wall thermometer as I was leaving there (one of the instructors hates heat and is always moaning about how hot it is so she put it there to prove her point) and it was 27C in there.

You need it cool for all that excercise - says me, walking around when it's 30C plus
