Ooooooooo - exciting.

For our homes and gardens

Ooooooooo - exciting.

This last week I have been "watching" a Kenwood food mixer on ebay. It isn't exactly the one that I want if I was buying it from new but it is as good as.

There has been one person ask a question about it in which she commented that she was going away on Sunday (so I assume she has gone). There is a starting price of £200 but no bids on it. It has about 50 minutes left to go and I am going to put a bid on in the last few minutes I think of £250. It is close enough for us to be able to go and pick up, if we have a day out that way!!

And the best bit about it will be that if I do get it, it will actually be free!!!!

Mick has had a huge row with the TSB about his business account. He went to put diesel in his van yesterday and his card was refused. Fortunately he had cash on him so paid and then went to the cash point where his card was eaten up, with notice on the screen that it was an old card (it wasn't).

He rang the bank and was told that he should have had a new card back in April because Lloyds TSB business are changing to a different company. He had a real go at them about not getting the card and someone said they would ring him back before 5pm. At 4.50pm he rang them back and got a woman who was really snotty with him and who pretty much put the phone down on him at 5.03 - basically because they closed at 5pm. So he rang TSB complaints department and someone rang him back today and after some negotiating they have paid £250 compensation into his account!

So fingers crossed I get it and I get it for free. Now - I don't want any of you going and outbidding me now!

The suspense is killing me.

Still no bids.

I am off to hang my washing out.

9 minutes left.

I've made my bid.

I'm going to turn ebay off now and walk away and start dinner. If I sit here watching I might end up increasing my maximum bid.

£200.

Just need to see if we can go and collect it now rather than paying £25 postage.

Debih, be wary of picking up, please don't pay cash for it. The item I bought recently cost £400 and didn't work. The vendor had wanted to deliver it and take cash. Thank goodness I didn't agree to that or we would have no comeback through eBay.

I'm paying through paypal but collecting - the best of both worlds Molly.

And she says that she will have it all plugged in for me when I get there so I can see it running.
