Not odd as in "cross the street when you see them coming" sort of odd but odd as in seemingly very mis-matched.
The oddest couple I know are a couple of a similar age to me. They are both doctors (he is a GP and she works at some sort of drug clinic). They both work part time at opposite ends of the week to sort out childcare - she Mon, Tues and Wed and he Wed, Thurs and Fri.
They have two boys who are 11 and 14 and they have been together for around 17 years. I have known them for about 14 years. He is Scottish, she is English. They live in the village and the youngest is in the same class as L.
They are both lovely but such opposites.
She has always been quite introverted, although lovely with it, but about 5 years a Buddhist centre opened in the village and she joined. She now spends loads of time there, including New Years Eve where she chants in the new year. She is a strict vegetarian and does not drink.
He is the life and soul of the party and usually the last one to leave at any event. He loves to play his guitar and sing and more than anything he loves to drink - whisky, vodka, beer, anything. He spends his New Years Eve touring the parties that are going on in the village. He loves meat!
They are really, really happy together but you would just never put them together as a couple!
