I think, but I'm not sure, but I think Oliver is having a growth spurt, his first one. :kick: Up to now it's just crept on slowly, but in the last 8 weeks I've noticed his size 1 trousers have gone from being too long to too short. Yippee. Size 1 is for 1 year olds, not almost 3 year olds. Last night he went to bed at 6pm. Woke up at 5am as someone took his cupcake away  got sent back to bed at 5:30 am, and hubby woke him up for lunch, so he basically slept for 18 hours. :o then 6 hours later he's back in bed again. :o hope he sleeps through the night tonight.

Osteo for me this morning, then doctor for Sasha just before lunch. Electrician came round to quote for some stuff. And that's about all.
Everything happens for a reason

Morning everybody.
Loved the photos of the meet. May be there next time to ad to the fun.
Dull here. Had some rain in the night. Have started packing for our cruise. Drive to Southampton on Saturday, sailing on Sunday for 14 days. Will be picking mrs.e up soon after she has had aromatherapy.
I refuse to indulge in the high kicks until December.

Ho hum, it's like March here  It was very dull and windy when we got up, and now it is absolutely pelting down with rain. Mr. Osc has gone to play golf in a very exclusive (and expensive) golf club today, our SIL's friend is home from Dubai and wanted to play there, so it's a shame it's such a nasty day, the rain started at exactly the time they were due to tee off :( I have a batch of soup in the slow cooker, and am trying to decide what to do for the rest of the day, finish the ironing, change our bedlinen, vacuum upstairs....probably should do all of them  I suppose having my shower would be a good start  Enjoy all the many and varied things you all have planned for the day!

Good afternoon all!
It's dull, windy and cool here today with a lot of rain forecast for later on.

Tom's off at Sixth Form induction again today but I think he's due home shortly. Joe's not talking to me today (yesterday it was Tom who wasn't speaking). I might put that on the private board, just for a moan, because I'm so fed up of it all.

I took Billy for a lovely long run over the common when I got back from the gym and I've got some housework to do this afternoon, plus some of Billy's favourite toys have burst open at the seams so I need to stitch those up.

Debbie, I hope the appointment goes well. We've sort of had a change of dentist as our lovely Mr P, who the boys had known and trusted since they were babies, died a few years ago and shortly afterwards the dentists that he was in partnership with all retired and the practice changed hands. The first time we all went to see the new dentist, all three of us had very sore mouths for a few days after the check ups, he was so rough. He had a really strong accent too which we all struggled to understand. Next time we were due I called and explained to the receptionist and she put us down as patients of a lovely, gentle lady dentist and we've seen her ever since, apart from the once when there was a trainee and the boys were booked in with her and we ended up waiting well over an hour past their appointment time. Grrr! Anyway we're all due a check up so I called the other week to make appointments. "Right" said the receptionist, "he can see you on....". He???? I asked if it was the one we'd seen before and it was. Apparantly two women dentists are on maternity leave, another was about to leave and there's just a female one who comes in once a fortnight, no idea who she is but I booked us in with her.

Loz, so glad the luggage has turned up!!

Hope your throat feels better soon Kaz xx

Good afternoon, all.

Hope you are all well and enjoying life.

Debih: It is so important to get the right sort of dentist. I had some horrifying experiences at the dentists when I was a child, and it took me years to overcome my fear of the dentist's chair.
Then I found a woman dentist, and she was so good at her job that I even began to enjoy going there. I suggest you ask around for other parent's opinions.

Same here Aggers, I had a horrendous incident with a male school dentist whose hand slipped and he drilled into my gum - blood everwhere and it set me up with a massive phobia that I've only managed to overcome in the last few years, meaning I didnt have the braces I needed as a teenager (I refused point blank to go and really regret it now) or the regular checkups as a young adult....... Hence the ongoing problems with my bite and missing teeth etc :? :(

It is incredibly important to have a dentist who puts you at your ease. Jo I hope your appts go ok ((x))
