Good morning, Ton.

It's a typical English wet morning here - again, but better weather is promised for later on.

We're having a quiet day.

I still keep thinking of our lovely Birmingham Meet. We should do it more often.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Morning all.

Its persisting it down here. H*work for me today - the house is really quite tidy at the moment. I am amazed that the girls keep remembering to pick things up that they leave lying around! Mick is not quite so house trained so anything I find of his today is going in a box in the pantry!

I need to nip to County Hall to pick up my adoption papers ready for panel next week.

And thats about it! Oh - and do the VAT return at some point today or tomorrow. Book work all done so just got to do the online bit.

Morning all :)
Dull and raining here, supposed to clear up later. Bb's gone to work early in the hope of finishing early.
Youngest tonight for his usual weekend, we've seen a lot of him lately!

Tomorrow there's a food and activities thingy at Buckler's Hard which is a beautiful place (very nearby), so I do hope the forecast for tomorrow is right. There's an all-day barbecue, and taster sessions of archery, kayaking, can't remember what else but it sounded good :)
Hope everyone enjoys the day and doesn't get too wet

Oh that sounds like fun Di. I haven't been down to Bucklers Hard for a few years. We might pop down if the weather is ok.
Rainy here right now. Just food shopping for me and tango tonight :D
Have a good day chums x

The only thing is Loz, it said in the local paper that entry is free. But it looks as though it's organised by the Master Builders' hotel, and it's not clear whether they just mean entry to the food and activities thing.

Bb's never been to Buckler's Hard because it was around when we moved here that they started charging for entrance, and I refused to pay :D It's a village for heavens's sake! I'm still not clear whether you can get into the place at all without paying but have been too embarrassed to drive down there and find out

Morning all.
Up and off to kindy, then picked up the lights and gas bottle for for the evening disco, load of washing, too stuff to kindy, home for another load if washing, back to kindy to help set up for disco, home again, more washing, Oliver to bed, quick dinner, off to disco, home again, out for a takeaway pick up, and now, off to bed. phew.
Everything happens for a reason

Good afternoon all!
It's drying up here after a wet start, it's still very dull though!

I went to the gym and then cut Tom's hair when I got home, and had a little play with the straighteners on it. It's his school prom tonight. They're not exactly thrilled about it as a year group though and are feeling very let down and undervalued, the tweets have been flying backwards and forwards for weeks. It's usually held at a lovely country hotel or a golf club but for some reason this year it's been decided to have it at a Holiday Inn which is right next to the M6 junction 10 in Walsall - all that separates it from the motorway is a bank of trees.
It's cost a small fortune!! Nearly £40 for the ticket, then a text came the other day to say that official photos are £10, there's a cash bar for soft drinks, there's transport to and from and all of this is on top of having to buy him a suit, new shoes, shirt and tie! All told it's probably going to have cost us about £200 so he'd better have the time of his life!!
His friend's Mom is the teacher who organises the proms (she incidentally put forward some really nice venues but was overuled) and apparantly she's moaned all week because the ceilings are too low to hang any decorations properly.

Di, do you mean you have to pay admission to the village itself all year round or just when this event is on? Bude isn't far from Clovelly but the last time I looked it costs around £15 for a family ticket to go into the village so we've never bothered.

Aggers - yes, we do! :D
