Dawlish and Teignmouth are lovely Di, and Dartmoor is just a skip from there. You absolutely MUST go to Becky Falls up on Dartmoor, our day up there last summer was magical and we can't wait to go again........

I remember spending some lovely summer hols near Budleigh Salterton when I was a kid, although that was a looong time ago so it could be altered. They won't be living in caves any more for a start................. :P

Yes we've been Kaz, when the boys were smaller we stayed at Shaldon :)

Mm it's ok I wouldn't go near Paignton :D
The driving is the problem, when we came back from Warwick I was in such agony I can't go any further than we need to.
South Devon is a bit easier too in that there are more places within a short distance so less driving once we get there.

I'm being driven round the bend though, have also had eldest on the phone because he gets his results on the 15th, and then has to sort out uni. But this is the only week we've been left with :?

If the driving is a consideration, Di, have you considered East Devon / West Dorset (Sidmouth, Axminster, Lyme Regis, Bridport)?

We have been around that area quite a bit Ossie and do love it :)

I kept meaning to check, I know Fugi said one of the main roads is still closed because of that bridge collapsing, so there are big detours.
The bits I've been looking at today are around Axminster, Beer and Sidmouth :)

Ossie's suggestion was going to be mine - the Lyme Regis/Bridport area.

I'd not taken results into account, didn't even give them a second thought when booking, and luckily it's fallen that we go two days after Tom gets his.

Most of those say no dogs, but no worries :)
At the moment we feel like giving up on the whole idea, but will see how we feel in the morning :?
