Honestly Jen it is much easier than you think.
I was nervous too and my BP was sky high.
It was so quick i could`nt believe it-got there for 12.30 and nurse
talked me through what was going to happen then put drops in my eye to
dilate the pupil then local anaesthetic drops then iodine drops
which did`nt sting so she said the anaesthetic must have worked.
The surgeon came to the waiting room at 1pm and introduced himself
and said i could change my mind if i wanted to.
He called me in and the only thing i found awkward was lying still
on my back for 15 mins.
I did`nt feel any pain only a bit of pressure.
I went to see the nurse after who told what to do and what not to do
and told me i could go home
I was home by 2pm and i could watch tv or read but my eyesight was
blurred.
By next morning i could`nt believe how clear everything looked and i
drove my car the next day.
I am having the other one done in 6 weeks or so and i am not worried
about that now.
Hope this helps Jen
