Oh no! Hope you both find the source quickly.
Fil phoned me up on Thursday to say he has a similar problem. So he wants me to climb into te ceiling to find it. :(

Oh gosh Debih - it's horrible isn't it?? :( I really really hate and detest water so much - it can cause untold damage - as you well know :(

Spoke to Tom earlier - his loft is similar, if not worse than mine! He seems quite blase about it all.....well I'm not and I need it sorted pronto!

I hope you get yours sorted too xxx

My roofer bloke has been - it is condensation - a bad case of :(

He suggested putting vented tiles in - for the size of my roof I'll need four. He's sorting it, and will do the work sometime next week (not planned quite when but next week).

Phew!

phew from me too... hopefully the vents will sort out the problem. Gal I know you've said you've never had this problem before but don't forget, this year has been an incredibly wet one; maybe that's affected things?

Glad it's nothing major like a leak that needs further investigating

Yes that's true Meri - although I did think condensation was more to do with warm air hitting cold.....I am guilty of drying laundry on rads and not always opening windows/using the extractor when having a bath *blush*

When I was googling yesterday, it also said you must use your cooker hood each time, and always pop a pan lid on. The steam/hot air can go through ceilings too....

Thanks all xxx

Yes houses do need airing! ;)

At least now you know the reason and can sort it - and thankfully it's nothing horribly expensive or damaging!!!!! xxxxx
