Back to normal now.

Postby Aggers » 10 Jun 2013, 21:57

Our big week-end is over, and we are now shattered but very happy.

It was my wife's 65th birthday and she particularly wanted a special 'do'. We invited over 40 friends, relations and
our apartment neighbours and had spent weeks planning it. I'm pleased to tell you that everything went according to
plan and it was a great success.

We had arranged entertainment that no-one knew about, in the form of a talented, 20-year old local singer by the
name of Malissa Hollick ( http://www.starnow.co.uk/melissahollick ) She has a beautiful voice and personality, and
her programme was nothing like you would expect from someone that age, singing some of the good old standards from
way-back-when. Everyone loved it.

Now all we want is a few days to get over it.

That sounds really lovely, Aggers - it's great when all the hard work makes for a great celebration and everyone has a great time.

I was going to ask you how your party went. But I'm too slow, sorry. I'm pleased it went well for you, it certainly sounds like it has been a lot of planning.

Just catching up Aggers. Great news that it all went so well and that Mrs Aggers had a great 65th.

I went to the link you gave, and you are right, the girl is very talented. The video of her version of Emeli Sandé's 'Read all about it' is better than the original imo.

Enjoy a few days rest. ;)
