Cruiser, thanks for the link. I have bookmarked it for the future, but for now it is not much cheaper. It looks as though I am going to have to get a new cheap and cheerful one as per Kaz and Ria's links. I don't need much - load, on, fill, wash, rinse, spin, turn off, unload.

That one will do the job then Frank 8-) My new one is very similar - and I really really like it, it is much better in many ways than my expensive LG was   It washed B's Hartpury overall in 40 minutes tonight! I did it on the short cycle but you can adjust the temperature from 30 degrees right up to 90! It needs to be 60 at least to kill the germs.......In the LG the 60 degree cycle took almost 3 hours

This is the one I have http://www.appliancesonline.co.uk/produ ... 6754.aspx; probably a bit more expensive that what you're looking to spend but it's a good machine.

My Zanussi is 7 years old and on it's last legs, the noise when is spins sounds like Concorde taking off. But it is insured on a new for old, so I can't do anything whilst the flipping thing keeps going

I’m wondering which model yours is??

This search

Highlights a few none of which are over £107 and many cheaper.

Of course they might not be your models.
